Obituary of Winnifred WESTPHAL

Winnifred G. Westphal, age 82, passed on July 28th, 2003 at Havasu Regional Medical Center, Lake Havasu City, Az. She was born on December 6th, 1920 in Oakdale, Wisconsin to Fred and Minnie Gottbehuet.Winnifred graduated from Tomah High School in 1938, then went to Spencerian College for 2 years, worked at Kelley Leather Co. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and married Arland R. Westphal on August 17th, 1940. She moved to La Habra, CA; in 1949 where she worked as a real estate broker. They then moved to Desert Hot Springs, CA; in 1975, and then to Lake Havasu City, Az; in 1990. She was a member of the Mount Olive Lutheran Circles, Yucca Valley Rock Club and High Desert Rock Hounds. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Arland Westphal of Lake Havasu City, AZ; sons Don Westphal of Lake Havasu City, Az; Hal D. Westphal of Long Beach, CA; daughter Vicki Smiglewski of Clayton, CA; sister Vida Allingham; 4 grandchildren, Russell Smiglewski and Eric, Kristen, Chad Westphal, 3 great grandchildren Johneete and William Smiglewski and Justin Westphal.A memorial services will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 9th, 2003 at 7:30 PM with Pastor Tom Dunham officiating.Donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O.
