Obituary of Ruth Match HARVEY

Ruth Elaine Match Harvey 1942 - 2003Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandma and Great-grandma passed away at home comforted by family and loved ones in Lake Havasu City, Arizona the morning of July 29th. She was born on September 21st, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lester and Elaine Match. She grew up in Salt Lake City and attended West High School. She married her "Love-at-first-sight" Sweetheart William Scott Harvey on November 21, 1958 and they raised four children.She worked for ten years as a Technical Writer at E-Systems until her medical retirement in 1995. She and Scott moved to the warmth and sunshine of Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1998. She loved gardening, golfing, ceramics and spending time with friends and family at her cabin near Duchesne, Utah. She was an excellent cook, a loving and caring mother and a smart, funny, wonderful person. Her father Les preceded her in . She is survived by her husband Scott, her mother Elaine, 3 daughters Teri Harvey, Janet (George) Walters, Beverly (Rick) DuKatz and 1 son William Scott Harvey Jr., 3 brothers Les Jr. (Beth) Match, Marvin (Susan) Match, Allen (Robyn) Match, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Hospice of Havasu for all their care and a very special thank you to Beth Match for her loving support.Funeral services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Friday August 1st, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. with Marvin Match officiating. A family visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services.In lieu of flowers please donate to the Hospice care center of your choice.A luncheon will be held in Ruth's honor in Salt Lake City, Utah, arrangements will be announced at a later date.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
