David George Nicely, 60, passed away August 13, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born to George & Helen (Peterson) Nicely on June 12, 1943 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.David has been a resident of Lake Havasu for 16 years, moving to Arizona 42 years ago from Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He was the transportation supervisor for the Lake Havasu City School District for 3 years and retired as a DPS Officer in 2000.He was a veteran in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1964 and was a member of the Rotary Club and the American Legion.He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Mary; sons, Blain A. Richard of Phoenix, Arizona and Devin R. Richard of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughters, Tracy Knee of Phoenix, Arizona, Kristy Anderson of Prescott Valley, Arizona and Brenda J. Adamson of Safford, Arizona; parents, George & Helen Nicely of Johnstown, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Diane Hiedorn and Barbara Paige. He also leave behind eight grandchildren.Memorial services will be held Monday, August 18, 5:30 PM at St. Michael's United odist Church with Pastor Lyndon Mason officiatingIn lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405 or St. Michael's odist Church, 2895 Jamaica Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
