Wayne Derrick Buffington, 84, passed away September 19, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born to Eli & Gertrude (Derrick) Buffington on April 27, 1919 in Bunker, Missouri.Wayne moved to Lake Havasu 2 years ago from San Diego, California. He worked as a buyer for Ametek in El Cajon, California for 25 years. He was an avid fan of horse racing.He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Marcella; son Scott Buffington of Lake Havasu and one daughter Becky Thurman of Wichita, Kansas.Wayne will be dearly missed by all his family, friends and anyone who knew him.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
