Otis "Bud" Wightman Bird Jr., 70 passed away on October 26th, 2003 at Havasu Regional Medical Center, Lake Havasu City, AZ; He was born on November 11th, 1932 in Fresno, CA.Bud worked as an accountant/auditor for 40 years in California. He was a Lt. Col/USAF-Retired, was in the California Air National Guard in Sacramento and Fresno, CA; for 20 years, booster president of Fairfield High School and Solano Jr. College in Fairfield, CA; Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, Fresno State, United odist Church in Dixon, CA; and many other organizations. He is survived b his loving wife Janette D. Bird of Vacaville, CA; son Steven Carter Bird of Vacaville, CA; daughter Linda Sue Helget of Dixon, CA; brother Gerald M. Bird of Fresno, CA; extended family Jessica Norton of Auburn, CA; Jennifer Sizemore of Sacramento, CA; Susan Davidson of Surrey, England and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in by his parents Otis W. Bird Sr. and Eva Leona (Dasher) Bird. A memorial service will be held at the United odist Church in Dixon, CA; on Friday, November 7th, 2003 at 2:00 PMIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to United odist Church, N. Jefferson & W. B Streets, Dixon, CA; 95620Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
