Obituary of Martha HILDEBRAND

Martha Rae Hildebrand, 77, passed away at her home on November 10, 2003 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born on June 25, 1926 in Rockwell City, Iowa to Oscar Raymond and Faye Shannon.She was a "war bride", marrying her husband, William in 1943 at the age of 16. After the war, she worked to help support her husband through medical school in Des Moines, Iowa. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1955 where her husband completed his Internship. Martha worked with her husband in their medical practice for over 30 years, beginning in Parker, AZ in 1958. They later moved to Needles, California, then to Susanville, California, where they retired in 1989. They returned to the desert in 1990, moving to Lake Havasu City.Martha loved her home, and had a natural gift for decorating. Her family says she was always a trend setter, and loved wearing the latest in clothing fashion. She enjoyed antique shopping, yard sales and working in her gardenShe is survived by four children; sons, Bill of Lake Havasu, Bob of Janesville, CA; daughters, Marsha Gardner of Lake Havasu City and Marla Gomez of Janesville, CA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.She was preceded in by her loving husband, William Rex Hildebrand in July of 2001.A memorial celebration of her life will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home of Lake Havasu City on November 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m.The family request donations be made in her name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
