Mary Velma Curran, 77, passed away January 4, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to Octave & Lovinia (O'Connor) Vidrine on April 29, 1926 in Grand Prairie, LA.Velma made Lake Havasu her home for the past 12 years. She moved here from Norwalk, CA where she made her home for 40 years and raised her family. She has enjoyed extensive travel as well as her work in her current parish, Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church.Velma is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 56 years, Francis J. Curran; children, Nancy and her husband, Charles of Lake Elizabeth, CA, Charles and his wife, Elizabeth of Sacramento, CA, Anthony and his wife Tane of Shingletown, CA, Madeleine and her husband Thomas of Houston, TX, Mark and his wife Christine of Long Beach, CA, Joseph and his wife Tatum of Burlingame, CA; and Teresa and her husband Joseph of Long Beach, CA; brother, Ivan Vidrine of Lafayette, LA; sisters, Clara of Opelousas, LA, Emma of Church Point, LA, Joyce of Mandeville, LA and Bonnie of Brousard, LA. She will also be missed by her 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Michelle, Amy, Avan, Samantha, Katelynn, Bradley, Sunshine, Wade, Christa, Jillian, Douglas, Thomas, Jaden, Logan, Andrew and Maddison.A rosary will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Friday, January 9 at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Saturday, January 10, 10:00 AM with Father Michael Deptula officiating.
