Gary R. Phelps,64, passed away on January 5th, 2004 at his residence in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on April 16th, 1939 in Long Beach, CA.Gary moved to Lake Havasu City 10 years ago from San Bernardino, CA. He worked as a Sergeant for the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Department from 1964 to 1978.He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Gary loved working on old cars and traveling with his family.He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years June Phelps of Lake Havasu City, AZ; sons Richard Lee Phelps of San Bernardino, CA; David Lee Phelps of Yucaipa, CA; and 6 grandchildren.Family request donations be made in his name to the local chaper of Make A Wish Foundation.Call Sue @ 928-680-0383Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
