Willis Carlyle Kitson Jr., 72, passed away January 13, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Willis Sr. and Marguerite (Coy) Kitson on August 7, 1931 in Goshen, IN.Mr. Kitson made Lake Havasu his home 24 years ago, moving here from Cupertino, CA. For 11 years, he was a custodian for the Lake Havasu Unified School District. Willis was a proud veteran in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 9401, the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry of San Jose, CA, the Masonic Lodge #651 of Menlo Park, CA and also a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Lake Havasu.Willis is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 50 years, Nancy; son, Robert Kitson and his wife Luanne of Pleasanton, CA; daughter, Deborah Mason and her husband Rick of Sutherlin, OR; sister, Phyllis Weirich and her husband Bud of Apopka, FL and two grandchildren, Renee Kitson of Sunnyvale, CA and Phillip Kitson of San Jose, CA.A memorial service will be held at the Community Presbyterian Church, Thursday, January 22, 1:00 PM with Pastor David Bybee officiating. The VFW Post 9401 will be holding military honors.In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to go to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
