Clifford Clarence Eggers, 82, passed away January 23, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Chris and Mabel (Nolta) Eggers on July 18, 1921 in State Center, IA.Cliff, as he was known to his family and friends moved to Lake Havasu 12 years ago from Dayton, OH where he owned Handy Day Ice Company for 10 years. He was a member of the Dayton, Ohio American Legion #707.Mr. Eggers was a proud veteran in the US Army during WWII and involved with the Persian Gulf Service Command. He enjoyed the computer, fishing, gardening and was very handy with his hands and loved building and fixing things.Cliff is survived by his best friend and wife, Dorothy; son, Keith Eggers of Dayton, OH; daughter, Dee Button of Columbus, OH; sister, Marcella Richter; sisters-in-law, Amanda Eggers, Eileen Halloway, Marjorie Halloway and her husband Bob and Lillian Davis; two grandchildren Lynsie Eggers and Kimberly Eggers both of Battle Creek, MI. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.Cliff is preceded in by his parents, Chris and Mabel Eggers; brothers, Harold Eggers, Dwight Eggers and Earl Eggers and his wife Elizabeth; sister, Elaine Richter and her husband Oscar; brothers-in-law, Herman Richter, Hobby Halloway and Chuck Davis.In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to go to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
