Obituary of Laurence HAUGSNESS

Laurence Eugene Haugsness, 87, passed away February 17, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to T. Einer and Jenny (Larsen) Haugsness on June 4, 1916 in Evanston, IL.Mr. Haugsness made Lake Havasu his home 12 years ago, moving here from Wilmette, IL. For 31 years, he worked in the dairy industry with Hawthorne Melody as a driver and other positions. Following that, he worked for 6 years as a bus driver with the Wilmette School District. He was a member of the Elks in Lake Havasu and a life member of the Sons of Norway where he held many offices.Laurence is survived by his beloved wife, Marion; son, Kenneth Haugsness and his wife Sue of Buffalo Grove, IL; step children, Sherry Wagoner and her husband Gale of Lake Havasu, Jeanine Jones of Lake Havasu and Ralph Jones of San Bernardino, CA; sister, Jean Clayburn of Denver, CO, sister-in-law Margaret Haugsness of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, John Haugsness of Buffalo Grove, IL and Ralph A. "Skip" Jones of Glenview, IL and one great grandchild.Laurence was known to have a big heart and was well liked by all who knew him.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
