Obituary of Phillip Lloyd Shapiro

Phillip Lloyd Shapiro passed away at 69 years of age on July 11, 2015 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Marilyn Esther and Irving H. Shapiro on July 4, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was wed to Monica Hope Lytle on May 25, 1987 in San Pedro, CA; they were married for 28 years. He grew up in Granada Hills, CA, lived in Sylmar, CA then moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ. Phillip served in the U.S. Army and he was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He retired from Boeing/Rocketdyne having worked with the Space Shuttle. He enjoyed the stock market, working in the garage and walking at the channel in Lake Havasu City. Philip is survived by his wife, Monica H. Shapiro of Lake Havasu City; son, Cody William Shapiro of Lake Havasu City; and his brother, Terry Allen Shapiro of CO. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marilyn and Irving Shapiro.
