Artie Lee Woodson, 84, passed away March 22, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to Vollie and Myrtle (Walker) Jenkins on January 13, 1920 in Warm Springs, AR.Artie made Lake Havasu her home 13 years ago from San Jose, CA where she worked by her husband's side as a nurse for James L. Woodson D.M.D. for 25 years. She loved boating, cooking, collecting teddy bears and especially reading.Artie is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 36 years, James; sons, Richard Winger of Memphis, TN and James Rogers of Little Rock, AR; daughters, Sheree Winger of Klamath Falls, OR, Beth Woodson and Jean Woodson, both of Pittsburg, CA; brother, Vollie Jenkins, Jr. of Salisaw, OR; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.A memorial service will be held Friday, March 26, 11:00 AM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Carol Sheffield officiating.The family request donations go to the American Heart Association.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
