Samuel C. Wright, 74, passed away at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV; on March 23, 2004. He was born on May 8, 1929 in Washington, PA.Sam moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 2 years ago from Columbus, OH. He worked 50 years in the aircraft industry, Rockwell International in Columbus, OH. Sam was a recipient of the Charles E. Taylor Master Mechanic Award. He retired from the U.S. Army WWII, Korea, 1946 to 1952. Sam was very active in aviation since he was 5 years old. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Whitehall, Ohio for 50 years and took great pride in teaching education and being an educational speaker.He is survived by his loving wife Robin Rene Wright of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughters Barbara Ann Rouse and husband Neil of Dublin, OH; Rhonda Sue Hegenderfer and husband Randy of Centerburg, OH; sons Scott Clyde Wright and wife Cindra of Galloway, OH; Zachary Ralph Wright and wife Shari of Whitehall, OH; Kevin John Wright and wife Dawn of Blacklick, OH; James Robert Wright of Columbus, OH; Samuel Andrew Wright and wife Victoria of West Point, NY; sister Marilyn Bellomy and husband Orville of Lake Havasu City, AZ; grandchildren Lara and John Konesky, Adam Hegenderfer and wife Chrissie, Matthew, Joshua and Luke Hegenderfer, Scott, Chelsea, Ashleigh, Ben, Schuyler, Nicholas, Maggie, Max and Derek Wright, Michael Wright and wife Jamie, Marcus Alford, James, Samantha, Samuel, Jacob, Tabitha Wright, great grandchildren Jonathon Konesky, Carson and Abella Wright and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Sam was preceded in by his parents Samuel A. and Florence A. Wright, first wife Margaret Barbara Wright and grandson Cody Ryan Wright.In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations be made in his name to the American Lung Association, 102 West McDowell Rd; Phoenix, AZ; 85003.A memorial service will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church on Friday, March 26, 2004 at 6:30 PM. with Pastor Tom Dunham officiating. A private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Route 40, in Columbus, Ohio.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
