Emerson E. (Ernie) Glasgow of Lake Havasu City passed away on March 29, 2004 at Lake Havasu Nursing Center.Emerson was born on June 13, 1920 in Independence, KS to Robert Charles Glasgow and Jo Alice (Gardner) Glasgow. He was married to J. Louise (Hawkins) Glasgow for 65 years. She was the love of his life and constant companion. Emerson was a Veteran of World War II and served in the US Navy. He retired in 1970 from the Plumbing Industry in Southern California and moved to Lake Havasu from Santa Fe Springs, CA in 1993. He took great delight in playing his guitar and spending any amount of time on any type of water with a fishing pole in his hand.Emerson is survived by his wife, Louise; four children, Wanda Price (Ron) of Lake Havasu, Ron Glasgow of Garibaldi, OR, Robert Glasgow (MaryLou) of Lake Havasu and Lela Thomas (Richard) of Lake Havasu. He also leaves 12 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Emerson was preceded in by his parents and his brother Merle Glasgow and 2 infant grandchildren.His greatest love was for his family. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 3, 2:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.In lieu of flowers his family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
