Obituary of Dan LOUDERMILK
Please share a memory of Dan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dan D. Loudermilk, 54, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. He was born January 12, 1950 in Southgate, CA and moved to Lake Havasu City in 1992.After 34 years of marriage, Dan is survived by his wife, Linda; his two sons, Michael and Jim; his daughter, Paula; his daughter-in-law, Linda (Junior) and son-in-law, David. Dan and Linda have 4 grandchildren, Skyler, Amanda, Jacob and Gracie from the result of their many years of happiness together. Dan's parents, Jim and Jean Loudermilk are also residents in Lake Havasu.Dan worked locally as a real estate broker and owned Superior Real Estate. He loved fishing on the lake, playing pool, watching professional boxing, NASCAR and having a friendly game of poker with friends. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and volunteered many hours of his time to that charitable organization.Dan could be best remembered for his wry sense of humor, which was amusing to those who knew him and misunderstood by those who didn't. He often talked of how proud he was of his family and cherished every moment a doting grandfather could have with his grandchildren. Being just a few months younger than his wife, Linda, Dan often joked about her "robbing the cradle" and would get a laugh out of her reaction. His over powering presence, his mischievous smile, and his tendency to tease will surely be missed by those who knew him.A memorial service will take place at Lietz-Fraze Chapel, Sunday, April 25, at 1 PM. Immediately following that service, a "Celebration of Life" remembrance will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 1561 Marlboro Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, to either the Kidney Fund or the Diabetes Association.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
