Alfred "Bud" Jennings Montbriand, 80, passed away on April 26, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born on May 5, 1923 in Homewood, Illinois to Frederick Lawrence Montbriand and Helen "Haas" Montbriand.Bud was employed in land acquistion for Cardinal Industries. He moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona from Winter Park, Florida 15 years ago. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, fishing and building and fixing stuff. He loved and enjoyed the desert.Bud is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Maude "Gregory" Montbriand of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, sons Raymond (Maria) Montbriand of Hazel Park, Michigan, Timothy (Jody) Montbriand of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Charles Montbriand of Plattsburg, New York, Mark (Mary) Montbriand of Freeland, Michigan, daughters Joan Slater of Valparaiso, Indiana, Marian Blaesser of El Paso, Texas, brother Leroy Montbriand of Michigan, sisters Margaret Naidai of Texas, Helen Duffy of Illinois, Rosemary McComb of Illinois, Violet Sella of Indiana, 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchilden. Bud was preceded in by his son Andrew who passed away September 1997.A memorial service will be held on Friday April 30, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel. A gathering for friends and family will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel immediately following the service.The family has requested that donation be given in Bud's name to Cancer Association of Havasu, P O Box 1410, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 96405-1410 or American Heart Association, 1280 S. Parker Rd., Denver, Colorado 80231-2100.Arrangements were made by the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
