Charles Anthony Rader, Lt. Col. USAF (Retired)
June 29, 1932 - July 18, 2015
Charles Rader was born in Lebanon, Indiana. He attended Lebanon High School, completed undergraduate work at the University of Indiana, obtaining his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Southern California (USC). He went on to gain an MBA from Golden Gate University.
He is the beloved Father of Charles Anthony (Tony) Rader Jr. (Eve), Debra Sue Rader Hendricks (Brett), William Kyle Rader (Patricia), and Tracy Alan Rader. Loving Grandfather of Julie Hendricks Mathews (John), Christen Hendricks Eddington (John), Nathan Hendricks (Camille), Jeremy Hendricks (Aubree), Shane Rader (Kristen), Cole Rader, Sean Rader, Jonathan Kyle Rader, Olivia Sheeley Beck, and Olivia Sirota. Brother of George Byron Rader (Lou), and Marilyn Wall (Don); loving great-grandfather to 15 great-grandchildren.
Chuck was a decorated veteran of three tours of duty in Vietnam, and was awarded multiple Bronze Stars. After 28 years in the military, he retired and continued to serve our country through consulting to private firms. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and summiting many peaks in the western US wilderness. He was an active member of the LDS Church in Lake Havasu City. His loving nature and joyous approach to life will be sorely missed by all of those who love him.
Chuck is predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley Carrol Glass Rader, on June 29, 2015. He is with her now.
Services: Thursday, July 23 at 11 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 504 North Acoma Blvd, Lake Havasu City. Interment: at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada, date TBA. Donations may be made to Hospice of Havasu at hospicehavasu.org.
