Roland C. Froeschle passed away on Friday, June 4, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on November 10, 1924 in Hazen, ND to Julius and Rosina (Sailer) Froeschle.Following high school, Rolly, as he was known to his family and friends, entered the United States Army, serving in Europe during World War II. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Rolly returned to North Dakota to attend the North Dakota State University, receiving his Bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering. He and his brother then began Froeschle Sons, Inc., a construction company in Bismarck, ND which he owned for 40 years. Rolly and his wife, Betty began coming to Lake Havasu 18 years ago, spending their winters here and becoming full time residents 2 years ago. Rolly is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty; son, Jerry D. Froeschle and his wife Sharon of Anchorage, AK; daughters, Susan Froeschle Carlson and her husband Wesley G. Carlson of Prescott, AZ and Nancy D. Froeschle of Portland, OR; brother, Donald G. Froeschle and his wife Jan of Bismarck, ND and sister, Laura Froeschle Bingham and her husband Robert L. Bingham of Elgin, IL. Also surviving are his six grandchildren, Erin Froeschle, Josh Lind and his wife Sharon, Ann Froeschle, Lauren Froeschle, Molly Christiansen, Dylan Christiansen and great grandson, 3 week old Sebastian Knappe.Rolly was a 33rd degree Mason, a Shriner, a Jester and a Plainsman. He was also a member of the Elks, American Legion, Association of General Contractors of North Dakota, an Elder with the First Presbyterian Church in Bismarck, a member of St. Michaels Methodist Church in Lake Havasu, a member of the North Dakota State University Alumnae and he was an Admiral in the North Dakota Mythical Navy.Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 11:00 AM at St. Michael's United Methodist Church with Pastor Lyndon Mason officiating. Services will also be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Bismarck, Monday, June 28, 11:00 AM with interment to follow at North Dakota Veteran's Cemetery in Mandan, ND.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials in Rolly's name be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Minneapolis, MN, St. Michael's United Methodist Church or the Special Olympics, both of Lake Havasu City or the First Presbyterian Church of Bismarck, ND.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
