Newton S. Ludlum, born December 25, 1920 in Pomona, CA, passed away on June 26, 2004 in Los Angeles, CA.He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary; sister, Charlene Powell of Lawrenceburg, TN; sister-in-laws, Betty Baer and Dorothy Merrill; stepchildren, Linda and Her husband, Joshua, Susan and her husband Kenji; grandchildren, Devin, Isabelle, Phillip and Camille.Ludlum joined the Army prior to WWII and signed up for service in the Philippines. He was taken prisoner on the Island of Corregidor for over 3 ½ years. He worked in the aerospace industry for over 30 years and retired in 1990 and moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ.Memorial services were held June 30, 2004 for the family at First Methodist Church in Santa Monica, CA. Graveside services will be held at a later date.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
