Robert Rollins Suntay, a long-time resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, 27 June 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. in the loving care of his sister, Ning. Robert was born in the Philippines on November 19, 1922 to Angel Suntay, Sr. and Edna Rollins. He graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. with an M.D. degree with a specialty in Occupational Medicine. He maintained a private practice in Los Angeles, California for many years before moving on to become the Medical Director of ALCOA for ten years before retiring in 1985.Known to his friends and family as a health and fitness buff, his favorite pastime was bowling with his friends in the Sam's Town Bowling League.Robert led a simple, yet practical life. He was orderly and meticulous in every undertaking. Robert faced death with a quiet courage and dignity, and with peace has gone home to Him who gave him life.Survived by his two sisters, Ning Suntay and Lucille Amata, he was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Angel Suntay, Jr. and sister, Evelyn Nuyda. Nieces, nephews, and extended family will miss their "Tito Robert". Although death took him suddenly and unexpectedly, his memory will lovingly linger, with many of his family being blessed by his unassuming generosity. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 2 at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah. Many thanks to all those who were part of Robert's life.
