Born September 16, 1929 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the first of two s born to Thomas and Rheta Lenora McDonald formerly of Minneapolis, Minnesota, she is survived by her younger sister, Patricia Lenora Peterson and life long friend, Angeline V. Hildum of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, two special aunts and numerous, wonderful cousins in Canada. Barb, as she was called moved to Lake Havasu City in 1988 after retiring. She was a California Educator for 38 years serving parents and children as Speech and Language Pathologist and Assistant Principal of the Carl Harvey School for the Orthopedically Handicapped and Delicate Health in Santa Ana, California.She was previously employed by Spastic Children's Foundation for six years as speech Therapist for the Cerebral Palsied Population. She was an expert in treating and teaching students and wrote and lectured on the fine od of non-oral communication.An alumnus of the University of California, she was a master in her profession. Her funeral services will be held in Crieff, Ontario, Canada, July 3rd, and interment will be in the family plot in Crieff Church Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
