Obituary of Noel CHRISTY

Noel Christy, 61, known to his friends and family as Chris, passed away peacefully in Lake Havasu, on July 4, 2004. He was born on December 18, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Chris grew up in the state of Washington and at the age of 17 he enlisted in the Marines. Chris is a Veteran of the Vietnam war and a true patriot. Chris moved to Lake Havasu 10 years ago from Whittier, California, where he retired from the Southern California & Arizona Glaziers Local Union 636, after 30 years of service. Chris loved the water and fishing and he was glad to call Lake Havasu home.Chris is survived by his Life Partner and Best Friend of 20 years, Mary Sue Whitaker, his son Noel Edward Christy Jr; of Whittier, CA; sisters Gay Fletcher of Fullerton, CA; Joy Christy of Coos Bay, OR; Bonnie Longstreet of Sandy, OR; and his loving granddaughter Kristen Meade of Pearidge, AR. He was preceded in death by his mother Rita Christy and younger brother Rodney Christy. A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Carol Sheffield officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Lake Havasu City Detachment of the Marine Corps League . A Celebrations of Chris's life will follow the service.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
