Charles Eugene Barrow, 83, passed away peacefully August 5, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on August 12, 1920 to Charles and Clara (Shipley) Barrow in Waggoner, IL.Charles proudly served his country with the US Navy. He served on the Destroyer U.S.S. Gwinn and received the Purple Heart for action in the Solomon's Crucible in the Battle of Kula Gulf for Guadalcanal.Charles is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of 63 years, Katherine V. Barrow; two sons, Charles N. Barrow and his wife Carrie of Carson City, NV and Richard G. Barrow and his wife Linda of Lake Havasu City, AZ. He will also be dearly missed by his 4 grandchildren, Melissa, Eric, Brenda and Kathy; 5 great grandchildren, Colton, Andrew, Nathan, Jacob and BenjaminHe was a loving person with a smile that will be missed by so many.In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family respectfully request donations to go in his name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
