Willard Paul Thomas (Tommy), 86, died peacefully at his home after an extended illness. He was born in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and had been a resident of Lake Havasu since his retirement. Willard was a member of the Community of Christ.Willard was preceded in death by his parents Jenny and Clarence Thomas and his wife, Marjorie. He is survived by sister Jean Guffey and her husband Jim of Kent, Ohio; a son, William and his wife Elaine of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, cousins, friends and special friend, Julie Bowles.Willard was a graduate of Graceland Universtiy, Lamoni, Iowa and Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He served in the Army during WWII and was stationed in Alaska. He remained there during his adult life where he managed his insurance business in Anchorage.He had a strong love for music and had a beautiful baritone voice having sung in chorals in Cleveland. Traveling and driving were important and enjoyable to him. He loved his automobiles, also golf and played often with his wife, Marjorie. He was an avid reader and had a keen interest in all types of sports activities. Willard was a friend to all.At his request, no services will be held. A special thanks to Samaritan Home Health and Hospice for their care and to caregivers, Peggy and Kim. Donations may be made in his remembrance to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
