Virginia "Ginny" Lee Goetz, age 74, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, died Tuesday, August 31, 2004, at home. She had formally resided in Seiverville, Tennessee and Oscoda, Michigan. She was born December 28, 1929, in St. Louis, Missouri to Samuel E. and Clara N. (Mincemeyer) Manion. She was baptized on December 27, 1950 at Grace Chapel in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Hadley Technical High School of St. Louis in 1948. Ginny was a talented folk painter and genealogy researcher.She is survived by her husband, Albert G. Goetz, who she married on January 2, 1951 at Grace Lutheran Church in Monogahela, Pennsylvania, sons Kenneth Goetz and wife Janice of Tracey, California, John "Mike" Goetz and wife Lisa of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, daughter Jeanne Portalski and husband John of Warren, Michigan. Ginny has eight grandchildren, Kevin Goetz, Keith Goetz, Joshua Wilson, Derek Wilson, Ireland Portalski, John Portalski, Erin Portalski and Eliza Portalski. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Damm and husband Robert of Billings, Montana, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, brothers William "Elmer" Manion (1986), James Manion (1982), sisters Eileen Ruedlinger (1982), Mary "Eunice" Fennewald (1999), Shirley Kessels (1975).A memorial service and Irish Wake will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lake Havasu City Elks Lodge. Memorial contributions can be made in Ginny's name to the American Cancer Society,1325 E. Harmon Ave; Las Vegas, Nevada 89119Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
