Obituary of Marcel AERTS

Marcel Jerold AertsApril 23, 1941 - September 29, 2004Marcel J. Aerts of Parker Dam, CA was born in Branst, Belgium and came to America when he was nine years old residing in the beach cities of Southern California before he came to Parker Dam in 1976. He owned and operated Sunshine Resort until his untimely death. He was a board member of the Parker Chamber of Commerce for six years, the President of the Parker Dam Parks & Recreation Department, a member of the Elks Lodge #2399 Lake Havasu City, The Elks Yacht Club, and was a member of the Eagles #4299 Lake Havasu City. Marcel was preceded in death by his father, John and his mother, Francine.He is survived by his wife, Ginger; his four daughters, Judy (Greg) Arnett of CA, Jenni (Royal) Kuckhoff of Lake Tahoe, NV, Arika Aerts and Alison Aerts of Gilbert, AZ and his sister, Lisa (Benny) Martinez of Los Angeles, CA. Marcel is also survived by his seven lovely granddaughters.Marcel was a very kind and generous man and he will be dearly missed by all.Memorial services will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church at 1975 Daytona Dr., Lake Havasu City at 12:30 PM followed by a Lodge of Sorrow at the Elks Lodge #2399 at 3532 McCulloch Blvd. at 2:00 PM on October 9, 2004.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
