Barbara Hamel Miller, 79, passed away October 2, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to John and Genevieve (Booth) Hamel on February 16, 1925 in Detroit, MI.Barbara was a teacher for El Rancho High School for 30 years in Pico Rivera, CA. She made Lake Havasu her home in 1990. Barbara was a member of AAUW, Master Gardener and the Literary Club.Barbara is survived by her beloved family, son Alex Miller of Garden Grove, CA; daughters, Jocelyn Marshman of Springville, UT and Meriwether Preas of Beaverton, OR; brother, John J. Hamel Jr. of Princeton, NJ and nine grandchildren.A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 7, 4:00 PM at Lakeview Community Church with Pastor Dale Ray officiating.The family request donations to be made in Barbara's name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
