Obituary of Yvonne Peal

Yvonne Peal passed away at 89 years of age on July 26, 2015 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to Jeanne and Edward Souter on March 30, 1926 in San Luis Obispo, CA. She was married to Jimmie Peal on April 21, 1972 in Kansas City, MO; they were married for 39 years. She was employed at Western Electric and retired in 1983. After retirement she was a member of the Colorado River Telephone Pioneers. She loved animals, playing cards, board games, water sports, spending time with friends and helping people. Yvonne is survived by her son, Donald Bittenbender (Fern) of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren, Mark Bittenbender (Tiffany) of Arlington, VA, Don Nichols (Rebecca) of Long Beach, CA; great-grandchildren, Sophie and Reid Bittenbender; and her beloved cat, Billy Bob. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Peal; and parents, Edward and Jeanne Souter. Thank you Prestige Assisted Living, Hospice of Havasu and Lietz-Fraze for your high, outstanding compassion and professionalism, also, to her friends; residents of Prestige, for sharing their lives with her. A special thank you to Roz for taking Yvonne under your wings throughout her stay but especially when she first arrived at Prestige. At her request, there will not be services. Her ashes along with her late husband, Jimmie, be combined and taken to Missouri in the spring. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
