Obituary of Howard MARRIOTT

Howard Marriott, 52, a resident of Lake Havasu City since 1968 passed away Sunday on November 17, 2004 following a tragic accident. He was born on April 8, 1952 in Traverse City, MI to Kenneth and Jilma (Armijo) Marriott.Howie graduated in 1970, the first class to graduate from Lake Havasu High School. He worked as a roofer for 30 years with River Roofing.He lived his life as he wanted. Howie loved music, dominoes and was an avid reader. He had no interest in material wealth and was generous to all of his friends and family. Howie was a quiet man; there was never any doubt of his love for his friends and family.Howie is survived by his loving mother, Jilma; his little sisters, Carmen Marriott and her husband Robert H. Clark and their children Dylan, Aaron and Alana of Tucson, AZ and Lindy Eppinger and her husband Joe and their son Drew of Peoria, AZ.He was preceded in death by his father, Ken.Howie was a loving son, brother, uncle and a friend to all. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.A memorial service will be held Monday, November 22, 12:00 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.The family request donations to go in Howie's name to the Marriott Scholarship Endowment Fund, Northwestern Michigan College Foundation, 1701 E. Front St., Traverse City, MI 49686-3061.Inurnment will be held in Elks Rapids, Michigan at a later date.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
