On December 15, 2004, loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, Jack Vernon, sighed into his final rest at home. His wife Patricia, Daughter Jacklyn and special friend (Sparky) were at his side.Jack Steven Vernon, 74, passed away December 15, 2004 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Jack was born to Benson and Lillian (DeVoe) Vernon on February 9, 1930 in Long Beach, California.The memorial service is scheduled for December 19, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Rev. Richard Rounds will officiate with the V.F.W. and the American Legion will perform military honors.Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. (Hewlett) Vernon; daughters Glory Ann Vernon of Long Beach, California and Jacklyn Sue Jacobsen of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; Grandchildren Steven Duane Broadbent, Jennifer Rayann Wilson and Jackson Thomas Allender.Jack Vernon served as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff from 1970 to 1980. After retiring from the force, Jack and Pat became co-owners of the Rite Spot in Parker Dam, California. In 1980 they moved to Lake Havasu City where Jack continued his career as a Certified Master Mechanic. Jack worked at CW Marine for nine years then moved on to Havasu Springs Resort, retiring in 2000.Contribution to Hospice of Havasu P O Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.Arrangements were entrusted to the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
