Mary Elizabeth Vendegna, 79, passed away January 23, 2005 in Lake Havasu City, AZ after a lengthy illness. She was born February 2, 1925 to Green and Addie Gabbard in Logan, IN. Mary moved from Wheatridge, CO to Arizona 22 years ago. She moved to Lake Havasu City from Parker, AZ in 2001.Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Mike in 1996. She is survived by her son, Ronald (Linda) King of Thornton, CO; daughters, Raven (Bill Lonskey) King of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Norma (Dennis) Grimes of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Sondra (Chuck) Peterson of Parker, CO, Marlena (Fred) Luka of Lake Havasu City, AZ; step-children, Angelo (Carol) Vendegna of Arvada, CO, Marlene (Don) Meyers of Roseburg, OR; 15 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Callie Billingsley and Lula Siemantel of Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews.Mary loved her family, fishing, reading, painting pictures of roses and singing.A visitation will be held Thursday, January 27, 1:00 PM followed by funeral services, 2:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Pastor Chad Garrison will officiate. Interment will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.The family has requested donations go in Mary's name to the American Lung Association, 102 West McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85003.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
