Obituary of Jerry Edward Ditzel

Jerry Edward Ditzel, 80, passed away on January 15, 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born to Phillip and Edith Ditzel on October 18, 1935 in Betavia, New York. He was wed to Wanda Lou Cross on November 29, 2014 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. They were blessed to share one year together before Jerry went to be with the Lord. Jerry served in the National Guard and he was a member of the VFW, American Legion, the Eagles and a 50 year member of the Elks Club. He was also a member of the Civitan and the Silent Birds. He attended the Alice Marsh dance classes and the Cloggers. Jerry is survived by his wife, Wanda Ditzel of Lake Havasu City, AZ; sons, Tom, Bob and Dave Ditzel of NY, Bill Ditzel of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter, Patty Steinsholf of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Jim Ditzel of NY, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service with reception to follow will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 27th at the Lake Havasu Church of the Nazarene. Donations can be made to the Western Arizona Humane Society.
