Arden O. Johnson, 73, passed away on February 7, 2005 at his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ; after a lengthy illness. He was born and raised in the Harmony area of Minnesota on May 11, 1931. Arden later resided in Rochester, MN; until moving to Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was one of the early pioneers who moved here on the lst, day of October 1966 to a sweltering 100 degrees. Arden served as the 3rd, fire chief in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He traveled back to Elmira, NY; to bring back the 1st, ladder truck for the City.Arden was a mechanic by trade. He opened and owned a vehicle repair shop and later a radiator shop here in Lake Havasu City, AZ; in his early years. He later worked for Citizen's Utilities Co. in Kingman as vehicle maintenance supervisor for 11 years until his retirement.Arden leaves behind his wife Vivian of 54 years, two sons Dennis Johnson of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Richard Johnson and wife Patti of Arlee, MT; sister Jeanne Malley of St. Cloud, MN; 4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death.Visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Friday, February 11, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 11:00 am with Pastor Mel Soderberg officiating. Burial will take place at Spring Valley Cemetery in Spring Valley, MN. Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
