Obituary of Olive FISCEL

Olive Fiscel passed away at her residence in Lake Havasu City, AZ; on March 1, 2005 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Fruita, CO; to Frank and Saloma May Newbury on August 5, 1920. Olive lived in Grand Junction, CO; for 36 years, where she started her first job at Safeway in 1942. On November 15, 1953, Olive married Galen Fiscel whom preceded her in death by 18 years. They had one son, Tommy Fiscel. In September 1956, Olive and her family moved to California where she worked at PaperMate Pen Company for 7 years. She retired in 1982 after working several other cashier jobs. Olive loved living in California for it's beauty and gorgeous weather. She loved being near her grandchildren and their families. Olive also enjoyed cooking, sewing and being a homemaker. She moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; in June of 2002 to live with her son, and later lived with Royal, Lynette and David Davis.Surviving family members include her son, Tommy Fiscel of Lake Havasu City, AZ; grandchildren Randy Fiscel and wife Gayle of Baldwin Park, CA; Scott Fiscel and wife Debra of Rowland Heights, CA; six great grandchildren, Eric, Felyna, Lisa, Greg, Kyla and Syra Fiscel. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Verna Fiscel, parents, eight siblings and many nieces and nephews.Olive expressed many times the love and support that was shown to her by employees and volunteers of Hospice of Havasu. Memorials may be made in Olive's name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86405-0597.No services will be held.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
