Lee Strauss Gliddon Sr., 87, passed away March 10, 2005 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Gorowny and Claudia (McEvoy) Gliddon on May 29, 1917 in Mobile, AL.Lee was a proud member of the Merchant Marines during World War II and a member of the American Legion. Prior to moving to Arizona 13 years ago from Rancho Mirage, CA, he worked as Frank Sinatra's security in Palm Springs, CA for 5 years.Lee is survived by his loving family, son, Lee Strauss Gliddon, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Patricia E. Jackson of Birmingham, AL, M. Evelyn Hodge of Cathedral City, CA and Helen L. Blackburn of Bothell, WA. He will also be dearly missed by his 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by beloved bride of 64 years, Myrtice, who passed away in 2001 and son, Robert Gliddon who passed in 1984.Graveside services will be held Monday, March 14, 10:00 AM at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
