Robert Allan Johnson, 64, passed away March 20th, 2005 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Carl and Helen (Earyes) Johnson on March 21, 1941 in New York City, NY.Robert made Lake Havasu his home in 1974, moving here from Woonsocket, RI. Prior to moving to Lake Havasu he had been a mechanic for 40 years and then after moving here, he worked for Mohave Concrete for 5 years as a truck driver. Bob was a proud veteran in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He enjoyed watching NASCAR Races, he was a jokester, loved building things, was known as "McGyver" and fixed everything with duct tape.Robert is survived by his best friend and beloved bride of 28 years, Nancy J. Johnson; sons, Albert J. Meritz and his wife, Mary of Tucson, AZ, Jeffrey F. Johnson and his wife Jennifer of Tucson, AZ and Derek A. Johnson and his wife Linda of Lake Havasu; daughters, Nancy Joan Lumpkin and her husband Jimmy of Harrisonville, MO and Carolyn R. Johnson of Lake Havasu; brothers, Carl Johnson of The Villages, FL and Donald Johnson of Cache, OK; sister, Linda Witko of Carbondale, PA; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He will also be dearly missed by his dog, Spanky.A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 23, 5:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. The VFW Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81 will conduct military honors.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
