Francis " Frank" Joseph CurranOctober 9. 1923 - April 8, 2005Francis Joseph Curran, 81, passed away on April 8, 2005 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Gallenstein) Curran on October 9, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio.Frank enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1942 and served until his honorable discharge in 1945. Frank made Lake Havasu City his home for the past 14 years. He moved here from Norwalk, CA; where he had previously made his home for 40 years and raised his family with his wife Velma. Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus, (he was a past Grand Knight) and was also a member of the St. Pius X Men's Group. He also enjoyed his extensive traveling and fishing with friends since his retirement in 1991 from ABC School District. Frank was preceded in death by his best friend and loving wife of 56 years, Mary Velma Curran. He is survived by children, Nancy Slay and husband Charles of Lake Elizabeth, CA; Charles Curran and wife Elizabeth of Sacramento, CA; Anthony Curran and wife Tane of Shingletown, CA; Madeleine Borrer and husband Thomas of Houston, TX; Mark Curran and wife Christine of Long Beach, CA; Joseph Curran and wife Tatum of Burlingame, CA; and Teresa Curran-Godsil and husband Joseph of Long Beach, CA. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Curran of Owensville, OH; and John Curran of West Chester, OH. He will be missed by his 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; Matthew, Christopher, Michelle, Amy, Avan, Samantha, Katelynn, Bradley, Sunshine, Wade, Christa, Jullian, Douglas, Thomas, Jaden, Logan, Andrew and Maddison.Visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary said at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Father Charles Murphy will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in "Frank's" name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86405Frank had an exceptional love for his family, friends and church. He will be dearly missed by everyone.Oh! What a beautiful morning.Oh! What a beautiful day.
