John K. McCarty, 70, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2005 in Lake Havasu City, AZ; He was born on February 9, 1935 in Huntingdon, PA. John moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 9 years ago from Montrose, CO. He worked as an Administrative Assistant for Colorado Dept. of Labor in Montrose, CO; for 18 years. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He also enjoyed woodworking. John is survived by his wife Karen McCarty, sons John Michael McCarty of Sierra Vista, AZ; Mark McCarty of Lakewood, CO; daughters Debra Branson of San Diego, CA; Kristie Nolte of Lakewood, CO; step-son Trey Night of Denver, CO; step daughter Debra Barrett of Denver, CO; sister Sara Van Ekelan of Huntingdon, PA; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
