John Victor Forkner passed away at the age of 50 on August 6, 2015 at his home in Lake Havasu City, with his loved ones by his side. John fought a courageous 2 year battle with brain cancer. He was born on October 10, 1964 in West Covina, CA. John and wife, Pamela Forkner, along with their children, built a life together in Lake Havasu City for the last 23 years. John was a dedicated employee at Southern California Edison for 25 years. He enjoyed boating, water skiing, snow skiing, off-roading, camping, target shooting and scuba diving. John was the life of the party and loved being surrounded by his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife, Pamela Forkner of Lake Havasu City; his parents, Gary and Marilyn Forkner of Temecula, CA; daughters, Heather Mitchell (Brian) of Kingman, AZ; Cheryl Fluent (Aaron) of Lake Havasu City, Shalyn Abeyta (Erik) of Lake Havasu City; sons, Scott Mull of Lake Havasu City, Justin Forkner of Kalispell, MT; sister, Stephanie Forkner of Temecula, CA; grandmother, Lucy Calderon of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Zoey Fluent, Emma Martinez, Carson Fluent, Chloe Mitchell, Mason Abeyta, Logan Mitchell, Cody Abeyta, Caleb Forkner; and nephew, Tyler Forkner. He is preceded in death by his father, Dino Calderon; brother, Michael Calderon; grandparents, John and Shirley McKinney.
There will be a celebration of John's life on Saturday, August 29th at 5:00 pm at the Nautical Beachfront Resort in the Nautical Terrace.
