On Friday, January 15, 2016, family and friends lost a wonder husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend and so much more. Albert Rosell Bruce passed away quietly in his Golden Valley home surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Born December 10, 1925, in Farmington, N.M., and part of the Greatest Generation serving in the Navy in World War II, Al grew up throughout the desert Southwest and Southern California before settling in the Golden Valley area almost 40 years ago.
"Sir Albert" (aka Big Al, Devil Hawk and many other names!) is survived by his wife of 47 years, Georgia; her three children, Robert (wife Peggy) Riggs, Rusty (wife Adriana) Jackson and Darla (husband Tom) Degnan; two children from a previous marriage, Shari (husband James) McIntyre and Tammy (husband Michael) Price; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
Memorial services will be private and the family asks in lieu of flowers donations be forwarded to Living Waters Hospice of Golden Valley.
Fair winds and following seas, Sir Albert. You will truly be missed.
