Diane Sommer, 45, passed away Tuesday May 17th, 2005, at her home in Lake Havasu City. Diane was born in Van Nuys, California on June 5th, 1959.Diane had many passions in life but those that stand out are her love for children, her love for her Faith - The Baha'i Faith, and being able to express herself through art forms: stained glass, intarsia, crafts, home designs and many others. Her creativity was endless. Many friends and relatives received her beautiful creations as a sign of her love for them.Diane loved children and always made them feel loved and welcomed and was always making sure that they received a gift as a token of her love. Diane's inner beauty can be felt and seen in her children: Lucas, Sasha and Dakota.Her love for The Baha'i Faith made it possible for her to teach Sunday school for many years at the Los Angeles Baha'i Center, at the Durham, North Carolina Baha'i School and here in Lake Havasu. Her husband shared this passion with her and helped with Sunday school.Diane is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Sam, and three children - Sasha and Dakota of Lake Havasu and Lucas of Mannheim, Germany, where he proudly serves his Country and lives with his wife, Jessica, and daughters Jasmyne and Jayden. Diane is also survived by her father, Marshall Ellis; brothers David and Matthew, and sisters Melinda, Rebecca and Lisa.Her tender heart and loving soul are now free to continue their journey and will be waiting above for those left behind.A memorial service will be held Saturday May 21st, 10 a.m., at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.Contributions can be made to Hospice in her name, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.Condolences may be submitted in Diane's memory at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
