Obituary of Wilbert REED

Wilbert Oliver "Bill" Reed, 78, passed away May 18, 2005 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born to Sylvester and Elizabeth (Cunningham) Reed on October 25, 1926 in Detroit, MI.Bill moved to Lake Havasu 26 years ago from Allentown, MI. He served proudly for his nation during WWII with the US Navy. For 35 years he worked as a certified machinist. Bill belonged to the Knights of Columbus and VFW Post 9401.Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Lillian; son, Glenn Reed of Macomb, MI; daughter, Christine McMillin of Lake Havasu; brother Walter Reed and his wife, Jean of St. George, UT and two grandchildren.He was preceded in death by son, David Reed and brother, Delbert Reed.A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 25, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Father Charles Murphy will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Lake Havasu Memorial Park.
