Obituary of Michael Robert Douglas

Michael Robert Douglas May 15, 1980-February 25, 2016 Robert Michael Douglas, age 35, passed away on February 25, 2016 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born to Michael Dwane and Maria Christine Douglas in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on May 15, 1980. Michael, known as Mikey to family and friends, was an avid writer, and member of many writing associations. He earned an Associate of Arts degree in journalism. Mikey was a published writer, introducing his first book of poetry in 2012. He had written over 6500 poems. Everyone believed he would be the next Stephen King. Michael also served our country in the United States Navy which sent him on a tour of duty in Iraq. He was a Navy journalist and won many awards during his career. Other than his most recent residence in Prescott, Arizona, Michael has live in many places including, Hawaii, Mexico, Lake Tahoe and Napa, California. Mikey is survived by his parents; siblings; daughter, Mary Clair; and grandmother, Bernice Mills. Services were placed into the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
