Obituary of Betty FILTER

Elizabeth Jean Filter (Betty) (67) died prematurely and unexpectedly at Havasu Regional Monday June 13, 2005 due to heart complications during a surgery. She was born on July 6, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI.Betty was wife mother, grandmother, and soon to be Great Grandmother, friend and family to many.Betty and Keith married in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 23, 1957. Betty graduated from Central High School 1955 in West Allis, WI. She managed, along with husband Keith, "Filter Motors" a used car lot in West Allis, WI. They were living in Muskego, Wisconsin and moved to Lake Havasu City in December of 1982. Semi retired, Betty enjoyed volunteering for Hospice of Havasu, Starline Elementary School and supported many charitable organizations. She belonged to One In Spirit Spiritual and Reading Group and the Daily Word Meditation Group. She was also a member of the Colorado River Ramblers and the Revconeers Motor home Clubs. A trip was planned this summer to take Keith and Betty around the country once again in their 38 foot Holiday Rambler. She was the "Navigator of Navigators" and always got them to where they needed to be. Her passion has always been her family and friends. She was beautiful, kind, and had a loving gentle spirit. Betty is survived by her loving, devoted husband Keith Filter, Sr. of 47.6 years; her three sons, Keith Filter Jr. of Filter Motorcar Company of Lake Havasu City, Randy Filter with wife Shelly of Lake Havasu City and David Filter with wife Darlene of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Bob Wertti, Johann Wertti and Frank Vande Corput; sisters, Susan Wertti and Judy Witty; grandchildren, Lauren of Lake Havasu City and Mark and his wife Julie of Oahu , HI, plus a grandchild and great grandchild on the way. Services will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2:00 PM at Abundant Grace of God.
