Obituary of Violet VERMEERSCH

Violet Vermeersch, born to John E. and Dora Kath in the rural area between Park Ridge and Des Plaines, IL, on February 18, 1921, passed away on June 13, 2005 from pulmonary fibrosis.Violet was a resident of Lake Havasu City for 26 years and was a member of the Happy Niners Ladies Golfing Group for much of that time. She was also a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church.Violet is survived by her son, Stephen John (Barbara); daughter, Kay Bass (Cary); brother Ray Kath; grandchildren, Joshua Bass, Sarah Bass and Amy Reece; great grandchildren, Devon and Loren Reece.She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphonse.A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 16, 10:30 AM, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405 or to Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 3163 Maricopa Ave., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406.Condolences may be submitted in Violet's memory to www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.Arrangements entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
