Lloyd Stoltnow, 92 of Apache Junction, Arizona died Thursday June 23rd.Lloyd was born in the small farming community of Gooch, Oregon. The Stoltnow family ranch was just outside of Condon Oregon. As was often the case, Lloyd only received an 8th grade education. But, after his marriage he went to trade school and became a mechanic. He found work with Hulden Motor Company and International Harvester for over 20 years.When the town of Arlington was moved because of the building of the John Day Damn many jobs were lost. Lloyd went to college and received a degree in order to take the position of City Superintendent of Arlington. That position was held until his retirement in 1975.Lloyd was the widower of Pearl Stoltnow who died in Lake Havasu, Arizona in 1986.Lloyd is survived by his younger sister Ellen Lyublanovits of Golden Shores, Arizona and only child Ann Loyd of Gold Canyon, Arizona.Graveside services were performed in Parker, Arizona on 6/29 where he was laid to rest along side his beloved wife of 45 years.Arrangements were entrusted to the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
