Arlow Miner Sutton, 82, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, died June 24, 2005, at his home.Arlow was born October 20, 1922, in Elmira, NY, to Marie Madeline (Alexander) and John Miner Sutton. He graduated from Southside High School, in Elmira, then moved to Syracuse, NY, where he worked for New York Telephone for many years. He served in WWII, establishing Armed Forces tele-communication lines along the Alcan Highway, and continued working for New York Telephone after returning home. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America.He married Anna Casini, in 1947, then graduated Phi Kappa Phi from Syracuse University, in 1956, while working full time and raising a family. In 1969, Arlow relocated to Lake Havasu City as manager of Citizens Utilities Telephone Co., launching such conveniences as 'direct dial', in the newly established city. He later sold insurance with Andy LaLande Insurance Co.Arlow devotedly and enthusiastically served the community of Lake Havasu in many capacities. He was a founding member of Grace Episcopal Church; London Bridge Rotary Club, where he served as President, as co-chair of Havasu Dollar coin sales, and later was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow; Havasu Community Concerts; and Havasu Historical Society, where he served as Treasurer. For many years, he was a featured actor with Havasu Theatre Guild, which he enjoyed tremendously.He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anna (Casini) Sutton; six children - Scott (Cinda) Sutton of Coconut Creek, FL; Gail (Steven) Kise of Lilburn, GA; Nancy (Ken) Howell of Flower Mound, TX; Marie (Scott) Burnham of Newark, NY; Stephen Sutton of Lake Havasu City; and Teresa Sutton of Needles, CA; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Louise Sutton and cousin, Betty Graner, both of Elmira, NY. He was predeceased by his brother, John (Bud), in 1969, and his sister, Marie, in 1994.A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 29, at 10 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Lake Havasu City. Interment will be at Nathan Littlejohn Memorial Garden, at Grace Episcopal Church Memorial.
