Obituary of Sylvia RUCKS

Sylvia Elvira (Luedtke) Rucks, 91, passed away July 9, 2005 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on February 2, 1914 in Willow Creek, MN, baptized in the Lutheran Faith and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church in Willow Creek.Mervin and Sylvia were united in marriage May 24, 1936 and blessed with six children. They moved to Lake Havasu in January 1971 from Truman, MN, in time to watch the London Bridge go up on sand. She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church and Lois' Circle, serving as chairperson of the serving group for 15 years. She was also a member of the church choir.Sylvia is survived by her loving family; son, James Rucks and his wife Delores of Lake Havasu; daughters, Mary Ann Beyer and her husband Ron of Lisbon, MD, Myrna Knapp and her husband Greg of Long Beach, CA, Charlene Fluet of Payson, AZ and Kristine Hoefer and her husband Mark of Phoenix, AZ. She will also be dearly missed by her 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mervin; daughter, LaVonne Pederson and grandson Tharen.A visitation will be held Friday, July 15, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 16, 10:00 AM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
