Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Bollig Hazelton

MARGARET ELIZABETH BOLLIG HAZELTON Margaret Elizabeth Bollig Hazelton passed away August 29, 2013 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 88. She was born July 13, 1925 in Hays, Kansas she was the sixth born out of twelve children. Margaret married Douglas Hazelton, the love of her life, July 10, 1948, was an active community member of the Girl Scouts, commission of City Council of Norwalk, CA, Norwalk Art Guild also in Lake Havasu City, AZ active in Havasu Quilt Guild, Havasu Art Guild she also had a club called the Quilting Bee's that would meet at her home every Thursday. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Douglas Hazelton of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter Susan Arner married to Deacon Jeff Arner of Lake Havasu City, AZ; son Larry Hazelton married to Robin Close Hazelton of Palm Desert, CA; loved by 7 grandchildren, Dr. Stacie Herrera, Sandi Herrera-Borba, Stephanie Scott, Nevaeh Arner, Natalie Hazelton, Melissa Hazelton Petersen and Brandon Hazelton; and 9 great-grandchildren. Margie, Nana as her grandkids call her, gave selflessly to all who knew her. With her loving heart she created many wonderful memories and many wonderful crafts that will bless the lives of those she loved for many years to come. Her smile, her laughter and her unique spirit will be truly missed. Services will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Father Chauncey Winkler officiating with a Reception to follow in the Holy Family Parish Center.
